Project Accounting Specialist

Ensure completeness and compliance with WGI standards. Project Invoicing and Client Billing Prepare, review, revise as needed, and finalize invoices. Distribute them through various methods with appropriate supporting documentation. Respond to client inquiries related to billing, invoicing, and Certificates of Insurance. Project Financial Management Partner with Project Managers to resolve accounting issues such as budget variances, time and expense transfers, and unbilled revenue. Prepare and maintain sub-consultant agreements. Review sub-consultant invoices for accuracy, contract compliance, and proper documentation prior to PM approval. ERP Data Maintenance and Project Controls Review project validation reports and update records to ensure accurate setup across all areas of the ERP system. Maintain financial integrity and support effective project controls throughout the project life cycle Month-End Close and Revenue Recognition Assist with month-end closing activities, including support of revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and applicable accounting standards. Ad Hoc Projects Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field strongly preferred (Associate’s degree plus relevant experience and working knowledge of key project KPIs may be considered) 2+ years of experience in project related functions preferred in the engineering, construction, or professional services industry Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with accuracy Ability to prioritize and multi-task Strong analytical skills Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to collaborate with other team members to achieve high quality work products Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with project-based ERP systems (BST a plus) and client invoicing portals (e.g., CITS or similar platforms) preferred Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
