Nurse Professional Development Educator - Generalist

Responsibilities Assess, identify, plan, implement, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate educational activities through a systems model Collaborate with staff, leadership, faculty and researchers to implement and evaluate professional development programs Support patient care by being a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team Conduct learning needs assessments and validate identified needs Identify practice gaps related to the educational needs of learners Establish a plan that prescribes strategies, alternatives, and resources to achieve expected outcomes Implement the educational plan Evaluate progress toward outcomes and revise based on evaluation data Requirements Bachelors Nursing or Masters Nursing-Preferred RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor Minimum 3 years of nursing practice experience Experience with direct patient care Ability to read, write, and speak English language Advanced computer skills Critical thinking skills and education innovation are maturing Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in assessing educational needs, implementing and evaluating professional development programs, and collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
