Job Summary Responsible for performing a variety of duties including properly preparing, cooking, and storing food items to establish consistent yields and food quality, cleaning dishes, bussing tables, maintaining restrooms and other general maintenance duties as outlined in the department training guide. Team members are also required to perform other tasks as directed by a supervisor. Responsibilities Utility: Check for proper detergent, rinse agent levels, and water temperatures at the beginning and throughout the shift, and follow proper procedures on running items through the dish machine. Keep service area, kitchen, and line stocked with clean dishes. Keep all kitchen floors, coolers, and service area floors swept and mopped. Clean all equipment in kitchen, coolers, and service areas. Food Preparation: Properly prepare all items according to Parkhurst Culinary Gold Standards from washing and cutting vegetables, weighing, mixing, and measuring ingredients to pre-cooking batches of meat, poultry, and seafood before the start of each shift. Stock work station(s) with all necessary ingredients and food supplies. Follow company food safety and sanitation policies and procedures. General: Follow the uniform dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene. Follow all Parkhurst Dining guest satisfaction procedures including Hospitality Imperatives. Works well with others and assists fellow team members as needed. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequently lifting up to 25 lbs. Working in temperatures that may exceed 90 degrees. The pay rate for this position is $15.25 per hour with a $1.00 increase after 90 days.
