Position Details Position: Service Technician Location: Kansas City, MO Job Id: 220 | # of Openings: 1 Job Characteristics Goetze Dental is seeking an energetic, outgoing, motivated individual who is comfortable being on-the-go, often traveling to multiple offices in a single day. The service technician must diagnose and repair a variety of dental equipment issues, remain organized, and provide superior customer service. A sense of urgency, creativity, high detail orientation, and strong written and verbal skills will enhance success in this role. Job Requirements A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record Flexibility to accommodate occasional overtime and possible overnight travel Ability to lift up to 100 pounds (lift, load, and unload heavy equipment) Compliance with the company uniform and dress policy Duties and Responsibilities Provide on-site repair, delivery, installation, and maintenance of dental equipment in a courteous and professional manner Determine parts, supplies, and tools necessary to complete service requests and ensure customer acceptance before proceeding Train customers on proper use and maintenance of equipment when necessary Offer alternative equipment options when appropriate Maintain a clean and professional van, obey all traffic laws, and keep appropriate van inventory levels Comply with Enterprise Fleet Management, DriverCheck, and Goetze Dental Dress Code policies Attend required manufacturer, Federal/State, and company trainings and follow guidelines for repair, movement, or modification of equipment Utilize SAP Field Service Management and Goetze Dental Procedures to process work orders Submit all job-related paperwork within required time frames Work closely with the dispatcher to schedule calls and improve routes Communicate with all team members Use basic Goetze systems: email, phone, internet, Paycor, SAP, etc. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required Job Skills An ideal candidate will have a minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent). Technical training in the medical and electronics field is preferred. Prior experience and mechanical aptitude in dentistry, medical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electricity, and/or electronics is desirable. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, Windows-based programs, computer systems, and peripheral devices is advantageous. Key competencies include customer service, organization, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
