We are seeking an energetic individual who can multitask and is looking to learn and grow with us. We offer on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement for the right candidate. Ideally you are mechanically inclined with an interest in equipment operation and repair. You may be working as part of a team, or with little-to-no supervision. The overnight Machine Operator will be operating Extrusion machines to produce thermoplastic hose. This is an on-site role with a full-time schedule for the overnight shift Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-5:00am

What you will do:

· Set up, start, operate, monitor, and shut down multiple braiding/winding machines

· Perform and record quality checks and calibrate machinery as needed

· Operates a forklift to obtain and/or store production materials

· Read and interpret work orders and production running sheets

· Perform basic machinery and equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs, escalating as appropriate

· Maintain organization and stock management

· Follow all safety requirements, wear PPE, inspection, and safe lifting procedures

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment

· Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

· Ability and interest in learning how to operate and maintain machinery, prior experience not required

· Ability to concentrate while multitasking and performing repetitive tasks

· Ability to prioritize and plan work activities and develop realistic action plans

· Ability to problem solve and resolve issues in a timely manner, utilizing common sense and situational understanding to resolve

· Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations

· Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations

· Capable of adapting to changes in the work environment with competing demands and unexpected task assignments.

· Use of conventional and precision measuring instruments

· Mathematical skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

· Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

· Ability to read, write, and speak English

· At least 2 years previous experience in a warehouse environment

· At least 2 years previous experience in machine operation

· High school diploma, or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to reach 5-5.5 feet in height and move spools that may weigh up to 10-15 pounds.

· Ability to lift/move up to 65 pounds

· Frequent standing, bending, lifting, moving, reaching

· Ability to work in a warehouse environment with changes in temperature, heat, noise, and metal materials
