Job Summary Per-Diem AM Shift - (0800 - 1600) APPROXIMATE PAY RANGE: $33.10 - $39.52 POSITION SUMMARY Under general supervision is responsible for maintaining service systems including files, records, supplies, and schedules to insure the service runs smoothly. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrates competency on the hospital?s MIS, MRS and DI Management system. Processes Diagnostic/Imaging requisitions. Schedule appointments and gives instructions on Radiology and Imaging procedures. Monitors incoming phone calls - Phone/Fax Diagnostic/Imaging reports. Verifies Doctors? orders on outpatient requests. File and maintain Diagnostic/Imaging reports and files. Keeps accurate records of requested films and outside films received. Demonstrates competence in communication with adolescent, adult and geriatric patients relative to age related, psycho-social and cultural needs. Performs other job related duties as assigned by the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging and/or Medical Secretary, II. Obtains and processes lab work on Biopsy patients. Required Qualification: 1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. 2. Two years experience in a medical office or hospital setting equivalent preferred. 3. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
