Accounting Clerk, Account Payable

Position Overview: The AP / Accounting Clerk is responsible for day-to-day accounts payable and accounting activities across multiple individuals and entities. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through, with an emphasis on maintaining accurate financial records, managing recurring accounting processes, and ensuring financial reporting and payment activities are completed accurately and on schedule. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience and is comfortable working independently, managing multiple entities and priorities, and coordinating with internal team members and external accountants. Position Details: Non-Exempt, Hourly position with 3 days in-office at a downtown Boulder office Accounts Payable: Owns the accounts payable process for multiple individuals and entities, including issuing payments via ACH, wire, check, and BILL.Records and appropriately codes payments and other transactions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Accounting Clerk: Records and maintains accurate financial transactions across multiple individuals and entities. Created budgets and cash forecasts for individuals and entities Monitors bank account activity and performs daily bank reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed. Assists with cash management by preparing and maintaining budgets and cash forecasts for individuals and entities. Compiles expense reports for corporate credit cards (Tallie) Manages the financial reporting process for 13 entities, coordinating with accountants and ensuring accurate, complete, and timely delivery of financial statements. Monitors recurring accounting deadlines and proactively follows up with internal and external parties to keep deliverables on track. Office Support: Provides light office support, including receiving visitors and deliveries, collecting and distributing mail, and helping maintain an organized office environment 2–3 years of accounts payable, bookkeeping, accounting clerk, or similar accounting experience. ~ Demonstrated ability to independently manage recurring accounting processes with minimal supervision. ~ Ability to manage multiple entities, accounts, deadlines, and competing priorities. ~ Ability to identify and resolve routine accounting issues independently and appropriately escalate more complex matters. ~ Experience with accounting and financial management software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, BILL, Tallie, and Asana is preferred. ~ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. ~ Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
