Position Overview
We are seeking a driven, experienced Lead Sales Representative to spearhead revenue growth across custom manufacturing services, contract manufacturing, industrial powder coating, and proprietary product lines.
The ideal candidate brings strong B2B industrial sales experience, a consultative mindset, and a working knowledge of metal fabrication or industrial services. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients ranging from local businesses to large regional industrial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Prospect and secure new B2B accounts for custom fabrication, contract manufacturing, and industrial powder coating services across regional markets.
- Account Management: Cultivate long-term relationships with existing clients, serving as their primary point of contact to ensure high satisfaction and repeat business.
- Consultative Selling: Partner with clients to understand technical project requirements. Work alongside internal engineering and production teams to deliver accurate quotes, realistic lead times, and tailored solutions.
- Strategic Growth: Create and execute targeted sales strategies to expand market share and consistently achieve revenue targets.
- Product Line Expansion: Drive market awareness and sales for in-house specialty product lines and ornamental iron offerings across wholesale and commercial channels.
- Market Analysis: Track regional manufacturing trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to refine value propositions.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of proven B2B sales success, ideally within metal fabrication, manufacturing, industrial supplies, or powder coating.
- Technical Aptitude: Understanding of metalwork processes and the ability to read technical drawings or blueprints is strongly preferred.
- Relationship Building: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a strong track record of closing B2B deals.
- Self-Driven: High initiative, structured pipeline management, and ability to work independently.
- Software Skills: Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and basic sales estimating tools.
- Location: Based in or willing to travel throughout the Southeastern, SD area and regional Midwest territories.
