Overview Position Details Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm No holidays or weekends (Onsite) Location: Methodist Hospital Professional Center I & II Top Responsibilities Patient check-in and check-out Insurance verification Pre-registration Managing work queues Rescheduling appointments Processing referrals Top Skills for Success 3-6 months of medical office experience Strong time management and critical thinking skills Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment Receptive to constructive feedback Team-oriented mindset Team Environment Fast-paced, high-volume clinic Role Summary Facilitates patient flow from entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. Responsibilities include: Collecting financial and demographic information for accurate records Scheduling appointments and interviewing patients for medical details Explaining charges and policies Validating and entering charges into systems Collecting payments Answering calls and directing patients/visitors appropriately Requirements High School Diploma/GED is required. Prefer relevant experience in a health care setting. Ability to learn and retain medical coding; ICD-10; CPT coding preferred. Requires ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.
