Extrusion Operator I

Essential Functions Performed Assists in operating, maintaining and troubleshooting extruders, blenders, cutters, pullers, water baths, and various extrusion equipment. Processes various documentation such as work orders. Assists in the implementation of new products and equipment. Contributes to meeting department goals and operational metrics. Performs other related duties as required. Essential Physical/Environmental Demands Not to exceed 50 lbs. of lifting (local practice may apply). Writing Sitting Standing Bending Visual acuity Color perception Depth perception Reading Field of vision / peripheral Fine motor skills Noise Chemical vapors Soldering fumes Summary of Minimum Qualifications Education equivalent to a high school diploma and one year of related experience. Knowledge of the operation of extruders, braiders, pullers, cutters, dies, etc. Self‑motivated and possesses good judgment to maintain high quality while achieving quantity. Recognizes problems and makes adjustments to the equipment. Performs repetitive tasks well and follows instructions. Reads, writes, performs mathematical calculations and follows procedures. Competencies Eye‑hand coordination Quality inspection Computerized test equipment operation Benefits Multiple shifts and hours: Days, Swing (Evening), and Nights.
