Patient Appointment Scheduler

Location: Houston, TX

Shift: Day | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: 45 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $17–$18/hr

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.

• Verify patient eligibility and insurance coverage.

• Ensure appointments meet medical necessity requirements.

• Review and update patient and insurance information.

• Post and process patient payments accurately.

• Maintain accurate scheduling and financial information.

• Communicate appointment details and requirements to patients.

• Assist patients with scheduling questions and concerns.

• Coordinate with healthcare staff and internal departments.

• Follow scheduling, eligibility, payment, and medical necessity procedures.

• Maintain patient confidentiality.

• Provide professional customer service.

• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Previous healthcare administration, medical office, or patient scheduling experience preferred.

• Experience with patient eligibility and insurance verification preferred.

• Knowledge of medical necessity requirements preferred.

• Payment posting experience preferred.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Basic computer and office application skills.

• Ability to handle confidential patient information.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Pay Rate: $17–$18/hr
