Position Summary:

The Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and manual machining equipment to manufacture precision components used in induction heating systems, power supplies, coils, and custom-engineered equipment. This position requires the ability to interpret engineering drawings, hold tight tolerances, inspect finished parts, and work safely while supporting production schedules and quality requirements.

Job Duties:

- Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual mills, manual lathes, drill presses, saws, grinders, and other machine shop equipment.

- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

- Select proper tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for various materials.

- Perform machine setups, offsets, tool changes, and basic program adjustments.

- Manufacture parts to required dimensions and tolerances.

- Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments & Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections

- Identify and correct machining issues to minimize scrap and rework.

- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Assembly, and Fabrication departments to ensure successful completion of customer orders

- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards while following all company safety policies and procedures

- Maintain accurate production records and labor reporting

What you need to be successful:

- High School Diploma or GED

- Experience operating CNC or Manual Machines

- Able to hold tolerances as close as .0005”

- Must read and interpret schematics and blueprints
