Engineering Intern - 3D Printing

Position Details Title: Engineering Intern – 3D Printing Department: Advanced Infrastructure Center This intern supports research initiatives funded by the New Jersey Transit Corporation, focusing on digital manufacturing for advanced transportation infrastructure systems. They will directly participate with faculty and professional staff engaged in digital fabrication, advanced materials, and next‑generation infrastructure technologies. Responsibilities Assist with reverse engineering using 3D scanning and basic measurements. Support CAD modeling and preparation of files for 3D printing. Help operate 3D printers and monitor print jobs. Perform basic post‑processing (cleaning, sanding, assembly). Assist with form and fit testing of printed parts. Help organize files in the digital inventory system. Compensation $17.00 per hour, non‑exempt status.
