Line Cook

The Club at Las Campanas is seeking an experienced Line Cook / Restaurant Cook to join our professional culinary team in Santa Fe. If you have experience working as a line cook, cook, prep cook, restaurant cook, or chef and enjoy working in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen, we encourage you to apply.

Our Line Cooks prepare high-quality menu items for our restaurants, dining outlets, and banquet operations. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced culinary professional who takes pride in food quality, consistency, organization, and teamwork.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook high-quality restaurant menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Perform line cook and prep cook duties throughout the kitchen
• Set up, stock, and maintain a clean and organized cooking station
• Work multiple kitchen stations, including broiler, sauté, fryer, pastry, and pantry
• Prepare meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces, dressings, desserts, and other menu items
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and proper cooking techniques
• Inspect ingredients and select high-quality products for food preparation
• Assist with food prep, inventory, ordering, storage, and product rotation
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, storage, and food safety procedures
• Complete opening and closing kitchen procedures
• Clean and maintain cooking equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas
• Work closely with cooks, chefs, and other members of the culinary team
• Assist with restaurant, outlet, and banquet food preparation as needed
• Maintain a safe, efficient, clean, and professional kitchen

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of culinary or professional cooking experience required
• Previous line cook, restaurant cook, prep cook, chef, or similar kitchen experience preferred
• Strong knife skills
• Knowledge of professional food preparation, cooking, holding, and storage practices
• Ability to grill, fry, bake, poach, steam, sauté, and use other standard cooking techniques
• Ability to work multiple stations in a professional restaurant kitchen
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced culinary environment
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
• Basic math skills for recipes, measurements, portions, and requisitions
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with other cooks and kitchen team members
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Food service permit and/or applicable certifications as required

Schedule

Candidates must be available to work a schedule that may include:

• Days and evenings
• Weekends
• Holidays

Physical Requirements

This Line Cook position requires prolonged periods of standing and working in a professional kitchen environment around hot surfaces, cooking equipment, and sharp utensils. The position also involves working in hot and cold temperatures and moving kitchen supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
