Clinical Pharmacist - Hybrid - (Clinical Support & Development)

This is a Hybrid position. Candidates based within 50 miles of any US Cigna Healthcare office will be required to work in-office 3 days per week, the other 2 days may be from home if preferred. Locations listed in this posting are preferred, but all locations within the United States will be considered. Pharmacy Clinical Pharmacist– Clinical Program Support Role Summary:The Clinical Pharmacist role reports to the Cigna Pharmacy Clinical Program Support team with a primary focus on delivering on clinical research, drug formulary maintenance and regulatory responsibilities aligned to the Cigna Healthcare US Employer formularies. This role provides clinical expertise and day-to-day support while partnering across a highly matrixed environment of business partners including Formulary Strategy, Clinical Operations, Compliance, Product, Legal, Account Management and others. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration and acts with a sense of urgency across the enterprise to execute against timelines and deliver outcomes.Essential Functions: Provide clinical subject matter expertise to the release and placement of new to market medications.Providing clinical research support to the formulary strategy leads to enhance clinical affordability and total health outcomes.Develop and maintain drug lists that align with product offerings to ensure clinical and regulatory intent is met.Provide clinical administrative support to understand and report out drug changes for the Cigna National Preferred FormularyResearch drug and report out drug data such as pipeline medications, drug shortages and drug discontinuations.Prepare summary and audit files due to Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee and other quality oversight committees. Review and respond to state and federal mandates to assess business impact and educate on formulary structure and benefit set up.Coordinate with stakeholders to respond to RFP inquiries.Monitor the team email box and respond to stakeholder inquiries about formulary design.May be asked to develop and present formulary strategies. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.Active pharmacist license in any US State.2+ years’ experience working in a managed care, health plan, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) organization, or formulary management.Solid understanding of evidence-based medicine, interpreting clinical literature, and standards of care.Experience supporting regulatory compliance, quality initiatives, or enterprise clinical programs.Results driven by proven communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills working in a fast paced and highly matrixed environment.Self-directed, adaptable leader with strong sense of ownership and accountabilityIf you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 120,000 - 200,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.At The Cigna Group, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive range of benefits, with a focus on supporting your whole health.
