NY/NJ Alternative Delivery Operations Lead

Duties: HDR's NY/NJ Alternative Delivery Operations Lead is responsible for planning and managing all commercial aspects of complex, large-scale (>$1B) design-build transportation projects from concept through final design. Responsibilities include: Serving as primary commercial interface between contractor clients, sub-consultants and owners; Managing project accounting, budgets and schedules, including managing and utilizing resources across project tasks/disciplines and developing and maintaining program controls such as earned value analysis and P6 schedules; Negotiating and administering contracts, including resolving complex design-related commercial issues, disputes, and disagreements amongst project stakeholders and conducting work sessions with engineering and architectural staff regarding project contract issues; Coordinating the work of engineers, architects and the balance of the planning team throughout the project development; Leading marketing, contractual, and production meetings; and Working with the Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and the Department Manager for project reviews on an as-needed basis. This position supervises 6 employees with the following job titles: Document Controls Manager; Document Controls Specialist; Project Scheduler; Project Admin; Project Accountant. Requirements: Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field (foreign equivalent accepted) and 8 years' experience in transportation engineering, or a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (foreign equivalent accepted) and 10 years' experience in transportation engineering. Required experience must include experience in Project Management and Alternative Project Delivery. Professional Engineering License required (any US or Canadian jurisdiction).
