Physical Therapist

8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday until shift is complete. On-call required as requested, with needs subject to change based on staff and branch requirements.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed hours: 32 hours per week. Contract length: 13 weeks.

Requirements

• Current State License as a Physical Therapist - Required
• Proof of current CPR certification - Required
• Current driver's license with reliable transportation and insurance - Required
• 1-2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting - Required
• Previous home care experience - Preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an approved program - Required

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessments to identify patient needs and appropriateness for therapy.
• Document and complete a Plan of Care (POC), progress notes, and clinical records on an ongoing basis.
• Plan and provide treatment for neuromuscular, neurological, and orthopedic disorders based on medical referrals and therapy assessments.
• Instruct patients and families in transfer techniques and the use of therapeutic equipment.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapeutic procedures tailored to individual needs.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols during patient care activities.
