Accounts Receivable Specialist

We’re seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a growing company’s accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing a high volume of customer payments, invoice activity, and account reconciliations. Responsibilities Process and post customer payments, including checks, cash, and credit cards. Maintain accurate deposit records and payment logs. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, short payments, and customer account inquiries. Review and process approved customer refunds and account adjustments. Monitor outstanding balances, review aging reports, and flag collection issues. Research customer chargebacks and prepare related adjustments. Partner with internal accounting, sales, and customer service teams to resolve issues. Identify process improvements and assist with additional accounting projects as needed. What We’re Looking For 0–2 years of relevant accounts receivable, accounting, or finance experience. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office. Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Understanding of basic accounting processes and payment applications. A process-oriented mindset with the ability to work efficiently across manual and automated workflows.
