Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Electrophysiology (EP) Tech is responsible for supporting cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures within a busy EP lab. This role involves preparing equipment, assisting with complex interventions, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain EP lab equipment and supplies for scheduled procedures.
• Assist physicians during catheterizations, ablations, and device implantations.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with intra-procedural documentation.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards during procedures.
• Support post-procedure care including equipment sterilization and patient transfer.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT certifications.
• Possess at least 2 years of experience in electrophysiology or cardiac catheterization labs.
• Demonstrate proficiency with arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, and device programming.
• Experience with AICD insertion, pacemaker implantation, and tilt table studies required.
• Knowledge of EP lab procedures including cardiac ablation, mapping, and conduction studies preferred.
• Active license required, with EPIC EMR experience preferred.
