LPN / LVN - Correctional Health Profession: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN General) Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum experience required License: License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing Certifications: Proof of completion of an approved course in medication administration Must-Have: Knowledge of skilled licensed practical nursing procedures; pharmacology; first-aid; CPR; general hospital practices and procedures; HIPAA regulations; human relations; inventory control; employee training and development. Description:Administers nursing care within the scope of practice as set forth in the Ohio Revised Code under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed physician.Duties include administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, inserting catheters, and performing wound care.Responsible for monitoring patient conditions and documenting observations.Provides general nursing care such as taking vital signs and assisting with daily living activities.Assists in emergencies by administering first aid and performing CPR.Maintains medication accountability records and observes patient responses to treatment.Assists in cleaning and restocking medical supplies and equipment.Orders medication and performs clerical tasks as necessary.Provides assistance and direction to lower-level direct care staff in providing unskilled nursing care.Participates in various meetings and in-service training programs as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
