Sales Specialist

Job Description: This position supports the Food Machines Sales and Marketing organizations to improve profitability by driving sales growth and maximizing volume across individual product lines. The role combines strategic sales support with analytical expertise, developing tactical plans by product category to achieve the sales goals established in the Annual Operating Plan. This individual is responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of sales and marketing data, translating insights into actionable strategies that enhance sales effectiveness, improve decision-making, and increase overall sales productivity. Key Responsibilities Partner with manufacturing, engineering, sales, marketing, and Food Machines leadership to position product lines for increased sales volume and profitability. Serve as the subject matter expert on Food Machines products, delivering day-to-day product support, customer presentations, and engagement among various sales channels. Develop and execute product promotion strategies, including administering promotional programs to the field sales organization. Support the sales team with product knowledge, tools, and training to improve selling effectiveness. Support the development of product launch materials, sales training content, and go-to-market resources. Collaborate with SDM to develop data-driven price models and strategic pricing for national or perspective accounts Conduct factory and showroom demonstrations to communicate product value and differentiate offerings. Collect, manage, and analyze sales and marketing data to generate insights that support strategic decision-making. Develop and maintain sales analytics, including modeling and ad hoc reporting to identify trends and opportunities. Manage and distribute daily sales reports by utilizing internal sales data and pivot files. Analyze and evaluate sales territories, identifying gaps and recommending actions to optimize coverage and performance. Travel up to 25% to support market needs, deliver training, and implement 80/20 Focus Selling strategies. Qualifications: BS Degree in Business, Marketing or similar field of study At least 1-3 years of experience in selling and/or marketing products in a business-to-business market Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Strong presentation skills Customer focus skills Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Strong analytical mindset with the ability to develop tactical plans to execute product line growth strategies Demonstrates the ability to develop sales and marketing strategies for new and existing products.
