Interventional Radiology Tech

Location: Long Beach, CA

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift & Schedule: Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour days (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM) Scheduling Type: Block schedule Call Requirement: Yes, 1-2 days per week and one weekend per month. Weekend Coverage: Every third weekend.

Candidate Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum: 1 year of experience.
• Travel Experience: Required, but will consider first-time travelers with strong experience.
• Hospital Experience: Preferred experience in a community hospital or a Level I or II Trauma Center.

Certifications:

• Required: ARRT R and BLS.

Skills:

• Must be able to scrub procedures, circulate procedures, and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Must be proficient with vascular closure systems (e.g., Perclose, StarClose) and equipment setup.
• Experience with a variety of procedures is necessary, including:
• Angiography (e.g., Adrenal, Mesenteric, Pelvic, Renal)
• Embolization (Chemoembolization, Uterine Arterial)
• Stent Placement (Renal, Ureteral)
• Biopsies (Liver)
• Filter Procedures (IVC filter placement and removal)
• Other: ERCP, paracentesis, thoracentesis, gastrostomy, nephrostomy, and cystoscopy.
• Charting System: Experience with any electronic charting system is acceptable.
• Vaccines: Flu vaccine is required, but medical/religious exemptions are accepted. COVID-19 vaccine is not required.

Unit & Facility Details Unit: Radiology Tech - Long Beach

• Daily Visits: Approximately 20 visits per day.
• Number of Rooms: 4 rooms.
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics.
• Scrubs: Provided by the facility.
