Associate Attorney - Assessment Recovery

Job Overview A law firm seeks an associate attorney in Columbus, OH, to join their Assessment Recovery group. Duties Manage a high project load and oversee administrative staff. Independently handle a diverse case load, including assigned and personally originated cases. Chair client corporate meetings and maintain strong client relationships. Advise clients on case status and manage electronic task lists and billing. Draft complaints and answers, conduct discovery, prepare witnesses, and manage trial preparation and conduct. Requirements Admitted to practice law in Ohio. 0-5 years of litigation experience in real estate, corporate, or contract law, or in representing governmental organizations in litigation-based civil matters. Demonstrated dedication and hard work in prior roles. Experience with Microsoft operating systems and sophisticated software. Availability during business hours, with some evenings and weekends for client meetings. Excellent personal skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Ohio. Skills Proficient in all phases of litigation, including drafting, discovery, depositions, and trial conduct. Strong client relationship management.
