Must Haves

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management System / Sterling OMS
• Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Functional Lead, or Senior Business Analyst supporting Sterling OMS implementations
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end order lifecycle
• Experience with: Order Capture, Order Orchestration, Distributed Order Management, Inventory Visibility, Sourcing and Scheduling, Order Fulfillment, Order Modification, Order Cancellation, Returns / Reverse Logistics
• Strong experience with retail and omnichannel fulfillment
• Experience with BOPIS / Buy Online Pick Up in Store
• Experience with Ship from Store / Ship to Store
• Strong understanding of inventory availability across stores, distribution centers, and fulfillment locations
• Experience creating and managing: Product Backlogs, Epics, Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria
• Strong Agile/Scrum experience
• Experience working closely with Sterling OMS developers, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Job Summary

• The Product Owner will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, architects, QA, store operations, supply chain, and eCommerce teams.
• Responsibilities include defining requirements, managing the product backlog, and driving enhancements across the IBM Sterling OMS platform.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• We are looking for a Sterling OMS specialist with Product Ownership experience, rather than a general Product Owner who has only worked around retail or eCommerce platforms.

Experience & Skill Set Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Product Owner for IBM Sterling OMS capabilities and enhancements.
• Own, prioritize, and maintain the Sterling OMS product backlog.
• Work with business teams to define requirements for order management, fulfillment, sourcing, inventory, and customer experience.
• Translate business requirements into detailed epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Define functional requirements for end-to-end order lifecycle processes.
• Partner with engineering and architecture teams on Sterling OMS solution design and implementation.
• Support complex sourcing and fulfillment scenarios across stores and distribution centers.
• Define and enhance functionality related to: Order Promising, Split Shipments, Backorders, Order Changes, Distribution Center Fulfillment
• Support omnichannel fulfillment capabilities including: Home Delivery, Drop Ship
• Work with integration teams supporting Sterling OMS integrations with eCommerce, ERP, WMS, inventory, payment, store, and fulfillment systems.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritization, demos, and acceptance activities.
• Partner with QA teams on test scenarios, UAT, defect prioritization, and release readiness.
• Analyze production issues and prioritize business-critical defects and enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to improve order fulfillment, inventory utilization, and customer experience.

• IBM Sterling OMS 9.x / 10.x
• Retail, eCommerce, automotive aftermarket, or large-scale distribution experience

• Sterling OMS APIs, services, agents, events, and integration concepts
• Integration with ERP, WMS, eCommerce, payment, inventory, and POS platforms
