Accounting Manager

Accounting ManagerRequired Skills & Experience• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including time in a government contracting environment. • Demonstrated experience standing up accounting systems and controls at an early-stage or scaling hardware companyAbility to work in a fast paced, start-up environment and wear multiple hatsJob DescriptionAs Accounting Manager, you will build the financial backbone required to withstand DCAA and DCMA scrutiny, support program controls across multiple contract types, and prepare the business for potential M&A activity as the company grows. You will own the close, the Chart of Accounts, and the policies and controls that govern them, working alongside the CFO, the VP of Finance, and program management. This role requires technical accounting depth, government contracting fluency, and the judgment to build systems that hold up under audit before the audit arrives. Depending on experience, this role may be leveled as Controller or Accounting Manager.
