Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSun07:30 AM - 03:30 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, post orders, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas, helping to identify unusual activity and/or maintenance issues. Monitor access to the location by observing arrivals and departures, verifying permissions when required, and communicating with staff regarding security‑related matters and/or visitor concerns. Support a respectful environment within a shelter setting by assisting with de‑escalation, providing clear directions, and helping to address policy‑related issues with professionalism and courtesy. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
