As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Monitor in Bronx, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour Job Schedule: Sun 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and document observations and activities according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or vehicles, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or operational concerns to the appropriate contacts. Support loss prevention and operational continuity efforts by observing package handling areas, reporting damaged property and/or unsecured access points, and communicating with site contacts during routine and emergency situations. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
