Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer supporting a government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule Wed: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Thur: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location. Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or public officials as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols of bus staging areas, passenger waiting areas, facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned transit-related areas, assisting with access control, crowd management, and/or direction of foot traffic during routine operations and special events. Report maintenance issues, suspicious activity, and policy violations, and support emergency personnel and/or local authorities during incidents or evacuations. Minimum Requirements A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
