Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, where you will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols and driving assignments, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will assist riders and staff with exceptional customer service and communication while bringing a reliable, agile, and innovative approach rooted in teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: Friday 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM; Saturday 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government transit location. Respond to incidents, service calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts, visitors, and/or public agency personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, boarding zones, and/or perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and public areas, document security-related incidents and/or observations, and report concerns according to post orders and site protocols. Support orderly operations by assisting with crowd management, directing foot traffic, and/or providing general information to employees, riders, and visitors as needed. Minimum Requirements A New York State Security Guard License is required. A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
