Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic cruise port location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to travelers, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to guests, passengers, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or supervisors. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminal areas, entry points, passenger access zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access to restricted and operational areas by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and reporting access control issues in accordance with site protocols. Support boarding, disembarkation, and other high‑traffic operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with crowd management, and communicating security‑related information to appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
