Security Officer Healthcare - Part Time Patrol Rover Location: New York, NY Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.02 per hour Job Schedule: Thur – 11:30 PM – 08:00 AM Sun – 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and communicate with site contacts regarding security‑related concerns and/or operational issues. Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and reporting maintenance, hazard, and/or policy‑related issues observed during patrols. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Undergo a background investigation in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
