As a Security Officer in New York, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Thursday: 06:00 PM – 12:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate for a financial institution location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting security‑related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, remaining prepared to carry authorized armed equipment in accordance with post orders and applicable requirements. Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high‑traffic spaces to help deter unauthorized activity, unusual behavior, and/or policy violations at the location. Support cash handling and other sensitive operations by observing assigned areas, reporting irregularities, and following Allied Universal and site‑specific security‑related procedures. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. CPR certification is preferred. At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
