Security Officer Store Badge Patrol – New York, NY As a part‑time security officer you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as retail/malls and others. This role allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles through our Claim a Shift platform. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.48 / Hour Job Schedule: Tue 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM; Sat 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, team members, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location- specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly, document relevant details, and communicate with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrance areas, receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor customer and employee activity, observe for policy violations, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate personnel. Assist with access control, closing procedures, and other assigned duties that support orderly daily operations within a busy retail location. Minimum Requirements Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
