As a Security Officer Emergency Center Patrol Rover in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government healthcare location as an unarmed officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access activities, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, hallways, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, as assigned.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, loitering, and/or disorderly conduct in accordance with post instructions and location protocols.
• Support a professional environment by giving directions, assisting with visitor screening processes, and communicating with staff and/or first responders during security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
