Step into an impactful role working with elementary students as a full-time speech-language pathologist in a contract position based in the vibrant area near Waterbury, CT. With two openings available, you’ll provide direct support to young learners, collaborating closely with school teams while maintaining compliance with Connecticut state licensing. Your expertise will make a measurable difference—whether you’re a seasoned SLP-CCC or a dedicated Clinical Fellow, as district supervision can be accommodated for those pursuing their CF year.

You’ll work onsite, possibly splitting your time between two school buildings. Expect a weekly commitment of 35 hours where your contributions will help shape positive educational and communication outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut SLP license required
• Experience working in a school-based setting
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) highly encouraged; CFs considered with supervisor available
• Commitment to district fingerprinting and background procedures
• Ability to travel between sites within the district if needed
• SLPAs are not eligible for this opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapy to an elementary caseload
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams for student success
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes according to district protocols
• Manage caseload efficiently, adapting to split-site arrangements if assigned
