Paralegal/Case Manager

A small, well-established civil litigation law firm in Raleigh has an immediate need for a highly organized and proactive paralegal with at least 3 years of experience in civil litigation, real estate, or both . Our firm represents businesses and property owners across North Carolina, primarily in eminent domain and condemnation matters, and values professionalism, responsiveness, and strong attention to detail. This position is best suited for someone with a high attention to detail who is self-motivated and enjoys managing cases, tracking deadlines, and keeping matters moving forward. This is an in-office position (not remote). Responsibilities Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, courts, experts, and opposing counsel Assist attorneys with civil litigation matters from intake through resolution Draft and format pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence Maintain and monitor case calendars, deadlines, and litigation task lists Manage and organize electronic and physical case files Coordinate document production and discovery responses Prepare materials for hearings, mediations, and trial Perform administrative functions such as answering phones, drafting correspondence, and handling mail. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in civil litigation, real estate law, or both Preference for bachelor’s degree or certified paralegal program completion; prior law firm experience in similar roles may be substituted for this qualification Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active cases and deadlines at the same time Strong organizational systems and attention to detail Ability to work independently and problem solve while keeping attorneys informed of case progress Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems; familiarity with Google platform applications such as Google Docs, Calendar, and Gmail Experience with North Carolina courts and litigation procedures strongly preferred, including working with the Odyssey system Portal, eFile, and WebEx **A paralegal certificate is appreciated, but not required.
