Work Environment

Our practice utilizes a telehealth model, providing flexibility and convenience for both staff and clients. As a remote position, you can engage with clients from the comfort of your home while maintaining work-life balance. With extended operational hours from 7 AM to 10 PM, our clinicians have the opportunity to create schedules that suit their lifestyle, ensuring a productive and fulfilling work experience.

Key Responsibilities

As an LCPC at Tarrant, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify patients' trauma histories and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and resilience.
• Utilizing evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support clients in processing trauma.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to provide patients with necessary coping strategies.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated and holistic care.
• Offering crisis intervention support during moments of trauma-related emergencies.
• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms while providing information about additional resources.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient documentation that adheres to all legal and ethical standards.
• Participating in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest research in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse patient population, including individuals facing various forms of trauma. You will have the opportunity to engage with clients from different backgrounds, helping them navigate their individual challenges and fostering an environment conducive to healing and growth.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCPC in the state of Maryland.
• A deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that reflect a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
• The ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we welcome applications from all licensed candidates who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
