Collections Specialist

Sports & Imports Autos is seeking a motivated, professional, and results-driven Collections Specialist to join our growing team. Responsibilities Contact customers regarding past due vehicle payments by phone, text, email, and other approved methods. Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Document every customer interaction thoroughly in our dealership management system. Follow established collection policies and procedures while complying with all applicable state and federal regulations. Monitor payment promises and follow up to ensure commitments are met. Work with customers experiencing financial hardship to identify appropriate solutions. Coordinate with repossession vendors when necessary. Skip trace customers using available resources when contact information changes. Meet daily, weekly, and monthly collection performance goals. Provide exceptional customer service while protecting company assets. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of first-party collections experience is required. (Automotive finance, Buy Here Pay Here, credit union, bank, or consumer lending experience strongly preferred.) Buy Here Pay Here (BHPH) collections experience is highly preferred. Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. Strong computer skills and ability to learn dealership software quickly. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, dependable, and goal-oriented. Professional phone etiquette.
