IT Administrator Full Time Technical Norfolk, VA, US Salary Range: $33.65 To $33.65 Hourly SUMMARY This position is responsible for various aspects of IT which include but is not limited to company data, file structure, equipment, and systems management. It also includes IT support (Helpdesk) but also act as the trainer when needed for company software and products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Administer day-to-day operations of our Microsoft Windows Domain and computer network Administer and support Office 365 services and other cloud related products or services. Maintain web and email domain name tasks specific to registration, records, and SSL certificates Maintain security updates and patches related to on-premise and cloud computing devices/services. Maintain technology vendor relationships related to product and services, estimates, and contracts Prepare purchase orders for all IT related supplies and equipment. Maintain and update phone system extensions and Cox Business long distance codes Maintain and update disaster recovery plan items specific to backups, continuity, and security Administer software and hardware updates specific to printers, network, and computing devices Evaluate and maintain IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands. Evaluate and resolve technical issues coworkers have with hardware and software Educate coworkers about network security and best practices for computer usage Other tasks as necessary QUALIFICATIONS Professional certification (Microsoft 365, MCP, MCSE) CompTIA Certification (A+, Security+, and or Network+) Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan.
