Nurse Manager - ED

Montefiore Einstein seeking a Nurse Manager – Emergency Department to lead a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional emergency care every day. In this leadership role, you'll oversee the clinical and operational management of the Emergency Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care while supporting and developing a team of exceptional nurses. You'll partner with executive nursing leadership to drive quality outcomes, strengthen workforce engagement, and advance nursing excellence across the department. What You'll Do Lead the daily operations of a busy Emergency Department, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and clinical excellence. Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff while promoting professional growth and succession planning. Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, retention, and workforce planning to meet the demands of a dynamic emergency care environment. Ensure compliance with New York State regulations, accreditation standards, and evidence-based nursing practice. Partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient flow, throughput, and clinical outcomes. Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and performance initiatives focused on emergency care. Support emergency preparedness, regulatory readiness, and operational excellence. Qualifications BSN required; MSN preferred Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license Specialty certification such as CEN preferred or a commitment to obtain certification 5+ years of Emergency Department clinical experience 3+ years of nursing leadership or management experience preferred Demonstrated success leading teams in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency setting Strong clinical judgment, operational leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Passion for developing people, improving processes, and delivering exceptional patient care Salary: $$150,000 to $200,000.00 Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core values of Montefiore Einstein.
