About Our Behavioral Health Unit

The SAGE Behavioral Health Unit, part of our organization, is a specialized 10-bed unit located in Harrisonville, MO. We focus on acute inpatient care for adults aged 55 and older experiencing severe symptoms related to major mental illnesses, including organic conditions like dementia. Our family-centered approach fosters a nurturing environment where patients receive tailored care to meet their unique needs. Our primary objectives are to ensure a safe environment and to educate patients, families, and caregivers on managing behavioral changes associated with aging.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will elevate the standard of care by delivering clinical expertise and compassionate support. Our Behavioral Health program caters to adolescents and adults facing emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges. In this role, you will provide age-appropriate psychiatric nursing care in collaboration with physicians, social workers, mental health counselors, and other professionals. Qualifications Required:

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing School.
• Current RN licensure in the state of practice, required within 90 days of graduation or an active license.
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
• BLS certification is mandatory upon hire.
• Previous clinical experience is preferred.
• One year of inpatient psychiatric experience is desirable.
• Basic computer proficiency.
