Overview
MRI Technologist – Travel assignment in Needham, Massachusetts. Start date 09/21/2026 for a 13-week assignment in a hospital setting. Compensation: $2,737–$2,848 per week with guaranteed hours of 72 biweekly (not including on-call time). Shift is 8 hours with rotating Day/Eve coverage. Typical rotations include Mondays 7:00 am–3:30 pm and Tuesdays through Thursdays 3:30 pm–12:00 am. This role requires independent MRI experience in an acute care facility, ARRT certification, and BLS. Orientation is typically 3–4 days. Average daily caseload is 2 MRI units (30–35 cases per day). The assignment includes a 75-bed facility and no float. This is a travel - temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations with attention to MR safety, image quality, and patient comfort
- Position patients, select coils, and optimize protocols for each study; monitor and communicate with radiologists
- Screen for MRI contraindications, ensure patient safety, and maintain MR safety protocols
- Administer or coordinate contrast agents per protocol and monitor for adverse reactions
- Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and image transfer; adhere to privacy and documentation standards
- Maintain a clean, organized work area; assist with readiness of devices and routine quality control
- Collaborate with radiology team to ensure efficient workflow and timely study completion

Requirements
- ARRT certification verification required
- BLS–American Heart Association required
- Minimum 2 years of independent MRI experience in an acute care facility
- Ability to work 8-hour rotating Day/Eve schedule (as described in rotation details)
- Orientation required (typically 3–4 days)
- Must be separated from the related employer for 6+ months and be in good standing to be considered
- Evidence of ability to perform MRI studies with strong patient care, safety, and documentation practices
