POSITION SUMMARY

We are a well-established tool and fastener supplier seeking a friendly, reliable Front Counter Sales Associate to support our customers with product knowledge, order entry, and general counter service as we continue to grow our business. This role is the face of our company — helping contractors, builders, and walk-in customers find the tools and fasteners they need to keep their jobs moving.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a busy environment, and is comfortable with both customer service and hands-on tasks like pulling orders and lifting product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet walk-in customers and assist them with product selection
• Provide knowledgeable, friendly support to customers at the counter
• Look up items, availability, and pricing using our point-of-sale system
• Build quotes, enter sales orders, and process transactions
• Answer customer questions about tools, fasteners, and related products
• Assist Spanish-speaking customers (bilingual strongly preferred)

Inventory & Order Fulfillment

• Pull orders from stock for customers at the counter
• Help restock shelves and ensure products are organized
• Receive, unpack, and label inventory
• Keep the counter area clean, organized, and well-maintained

General Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers
• Learn product knowledge and attend training as needed
• Follow safety guidelines while handling tools and inventory

REQUIREMENTS

Required

• 30–40 hours per week availability
• Bilingual English & Spanish (strong preference)
• Comfortable lifting and carrying 50 lb boxes
• Good communication and people skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Willing to learn product info and POS software
• Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

• Experience in tool, fastener, hardware, or construction supply
• Retail or counter sales experience
• Basic mechanical or construction knowledge
