Quality Inspector I - 2nd Shift

Quality Inspector ICadrex is searching for a Quality Inspector I to directly support site manufacturing practices through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles and methodologies with the goal of consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality.Key ResponsibilitiesUse measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, pin gages, surface plate, and height gageRead and interpret blueprintsVisual inspection of product according to customer requirementsInspect and or test in-process product as well as finished productDocument inspection results by completing required reports/logsIdentify and quarantine all non-conforming productGenerate and summarize non-conforming reports for discrepant productsKeep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and identify and address issues with equipment that may need repairInspect and approve incoming materials where and when needed by confirming they meet specificationsAttend department meetings as requiredPreferred QualificationsUnderstand industry safety standards and quality expectations1 or more years working in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS with hands on inspection preferredRead and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
