Cluster Director of Finance

We are looking for an experienced finance leader to oversee accounting operations across a portfolio of hospitality properties in SLC, Utah. This role is responsible for strengthening financial performance through accurate reporting, sound controls, and thoughtful analysis that supports business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong hospitality accounting expertise, a collaborative leadership style, and the ability to guide both centralized and property-based teams. Quarterly travel to assigned locations, including overnight stays, is required.Responsibilities:• Lead and develop the central accounting team, setting clear expectations and promoting accurate, efficient financial support for all assigned properties.• Oversee daily accounting activity and ensure month-end and year-end close tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations, are completed correctly and on schedule.• Manage the preparation and review of periodic financial statements, ensuring reports are timely, reliable, and aligned with organizational and regulatory standards.• Evaluate operating results, review fluctuations and trends, and translate findings into practical recommendations that improve portfolio performance.• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by guiding accounting staff and helping property leaders produce well-informed financial projections.• Provide direction to on-site teams handling income audit, accounts receivable, group billing, and related accounting administration to maintain consistency across locations.• Establish and monitor internal controls that protect company assets, reinforce financial accuracy, and support compliance with policies and applicable requirements.• Partner with auditors during internal and external reviews, coordinate responses to information requests, and help resolve audit issues efficiently.• Identify process improvement opportunities, advance best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to enhance financial workflows and systems.• Work closely with hotel leadership, operations, revenue management, and the Regional Director of Finance on strategic initiatives, special projects, and quarterly visits to assigned properties.
