Physician - Addiction Psychiatrist

Physician – Addiction Psychiatrist Location: UKH Olathe Pavilion Main Campus, University of Kansas Health System. Position Summary Full‑time Addiction Psychiatrist to support the department’s mission in delivering high‑quality care. Provide addiction consultation‑liaison services, oversee opioid treatment program (OTP) services at an adult mental and behavioral health hospital, and lead ambulatory addiction clinic care within a multidisciplinary team. Work closely with the Opioid Treatment Services Medical Director and participate in weekend call rotations and continuous performance improvement initiatives. Encourage and support scholarly and research activities aligned with clinical and teaching interests. Required Qualifications MD, DO or equivalent degree Graduate of an ACGME‑accredited Adult Psychiatry Residency program Fellowship training in Addiction Psychiatry from an accredited program ABPN board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry preferred; ASAM board certification or eligibility also considered Eligible for medical licensure in Kansas and Missouri Job Responsibilities Provide addiction consultation‑liaison services, including assessment, treatment planning, and coordination of care across the hospital and outpatient settings. Serve as the clinical lead for the opioid treatment program (OTP) at the adult mental and behavioral health hospital. Deliver care to patients in an ambulatory addictions clinic and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team at the academic medical center. Participate in weekend call rotations and continuous performance improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes. Engage in teaching, scholarly research, and academic activities as appropriate with the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Fulfill other duties as required to support departmental and system goals.
