EMS Dispatcher IV - Critical Care - Full Time - Evening - Mobile Health

Job Title

Responsible for receiving and evaluating incoming ambulance service calls to provide appropriate level of Emergency Medical Service (EMS) assistance.

Job Description

Responds to the incoming calls for Air Medical Flight and Critical Care Ground services and provides appropriate level of emergency assistance required. Assigns most appropriate ALS and/or BLS resource to meet patient and customer needs. Assures safe completion of the emergency through superior communication and customer service skills. Utilizes multiple phone lines, six computer screens and wall monitors containing information ranging from Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems, telecommunications equipment, mapping software, vehicle tracking software, weather and traffic information to assure the safety of medical crews. Coordinates with other EMS teams and Communications Center in the region to acquire necessary logistical support for the mission and assure safe operations. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Three years of emergency and/or medical transport dispatching experience preferred. 911 Officer (BTC) and EMD (New Jersey or National Academy). CPR. Preferred: Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic. Certified Flight Communicator.

About the Team

Atlantic Mobile Health is a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing the finest air and ground medical transportation services. We offer immediate and emergent response to municipalities and facilities, as well as non-emergency transportation for patients who need stretcher transportation. The MICU is an emergency response unit that augments the basic life-support therapies provided by local first aid squads and fire departments.
