The purpose of an HVAC & R Mechanic is to provide heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration services with specific responsibility to identify repair and/or maintenance needs; install, repair, maintain, and upgrade heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment; ensure compliance with accessibility and health and safety codes; provide information on the proper use of equipment; ensure completion of projects in accordance with trade standards; assist other skilled trades; and ensure that tools and materials are available at job site. This job reports to the Maintenance and Grounds Manager.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by completion of a recognized HVAC&R apprenticeship program and three (3) years experience in the HVAC&R trade. Must possess a valid California driver's license.

Requirements / Qualifications
