Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Summary:

Registered Nurse - NICU provides high-acuity neonatal care in a fast-paced NICU setting. This Seasonal - Travel role supports the unit's clinical operations while delivering patient- and family-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, triage, and monitor neonates to identify changes in condition and respond promptly.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and specialized treatments according to clinical protocols.
• Manage ventilator and respiratory support needs, including high-frequency ventilation as indicated.
• Perform and support procedures including whole body cooling, surgical case support, and chest tube care.
• Collaborate with the care team on family-centered education, developmental supportive care, and discharge planning.
• Document care in the Neonatal Notes Manager/Meditech system and maintain accurate clinical records.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Kansas RN license.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of current acute care NICU experience.
• Maintain current BLS certification and NRP certification.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in neonatal critical care interventions such as IV therapy and complex respiratory support.
• Preference for Level IV NICU experience and prior Meditech experience.
• Demonstrate readiness to travel and provide reliable coverage in a competitive staffing environment.
