M Fitness Instructor II - Active Aging

Englewood Recreation Center 1155 W Oxford Ave Englewood, CO 80110, USA We seek a dynamic, passionate, and motivating Group Fitness Instructor to join our fitness team. If you thrive on positively impacting others' lives and enjoy designing personalized fitness journeys, this is the perfect opportunity! This position will lead Group Fitness classes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Play an integral role in our mission to inspire, educate, and empower individuals to achieve their fitness goals. Design class format and lead clients through safe workouts, ensuring proper technique with all equipment. Educate and monitor class participants' Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE) throughout the class or session. Offer professional exercise modifications as needed, catering to all fitness levels, including those with special needs. Schedule client training sessions and communicate with clients if a session must be canceled or rescheduled. Maintain patron engagement and excitement with various dynamic exercises, adjusting to needs, and ensuring proper safety techniques while being personable, innovative and creative. Ensure clients receive an exceptional experience, every session, every time. Support and ensure adherence to Departmental philosophies, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Demonstrated prior experience instruction of group fitness and Silver Sneakers classes. Ability to design innovative, fun, and challenging workout programs for all fitness Currently holds ACE or AFAA group exercise and/or NASM, NSCA, ACSM or ACE personal trainer certification. Must have or be willing to obtain Silversneakers®- Silversneakers® certification High comfort level working and communicating with diverse clientele, from beginners to advanced athletes, young to older adults. Current CPR/AED certification, commitment to maintain current regarding fitness trends through continuing education. Availability to include weekdays, evenings, weekends. Strong knowledge of the principles and practice of fitness programming.

HOURLY PAY RANGE

$19.75 - $29.62/Hourly Pay Rate This is a part-time position.
